Les Apprentis d’Auteuil / Toy Run
Sunday, December 12, 2021
This year, there will be no champagne or chocolates.
We have decided to channel most of Excelsior’s gift budget into helping the children of the Fondation Les Orphelins Apprentis d’Auteuil.
And we thought, why not organize a toy race… ๐
Based on an idea by Jeremy Harroch, and thanks to the permission of Jean-Michel Grunberg (La Grande Rรฉcrรฉ), we decided to invite the children of the association to one of the biggest toy stores in the world, and let them take for 1 minute… !! ๐ ๐ผ
It’s not much considering the hardship of their situation (the pandemic not helping), but we tried to realize for a moment, this dream we all had as kids. The best part is that many of them took toys for their friends who couldn’t come, rather than thinking about themselves.
Bravo to all the heroes of ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ ๐’๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ; those framers who spend not 1 but 365 days a year giving time, values, and love to children who have been deprived of it; and that’s worth more than all the gifts in the world ๐
Merry Christmas to all!
